I got to thinking the other day about how Navis were invented in the Battle Network universe.
When I’m in my car I frequently get pissed at my phone for not being able to understand my voice commands and prompts. Then I thought it’d be reasonable to think this could have been the start of the Navi process. Maybe they weren’t originally intended for the internet, but more for voice command technology that needed a better understanding in order to better follow commands and such. Then for those with long car rides, these voice programs (like siri and et cetera) were given personality type programs so you could have a sort of conversation with your navigation system. As most people use these on their phones, they then began to give them body images and access to search stuff for drivers online. As popularity with these Navi’s increased, it was decided these could be used not only in cars and on the road, but in everyday life.
and that’s what I think about while I’m driving
